A class discussion today was about whether or not we are the same people that we were when we were five years old. I dont believe i am the same person becasue of my needs and watns, outlook on life, and belief in God hace changed greatly as my life as pregressed. In addition I feel that i am now not the same person because i strongly belive thta yo learn., grow, and change only through your life experiences.
One reason why i feel i am a different person today is because my needs and wants as a 5 yars old differed greatly from my needs now. When i was 5 my needs were less demadning and easier to obtain. For example, if i wanted a toy i would almost always recieve that toy from a family member on different occations. If i threw a tenpur tantrome id most likely get what i wanted right then and there. now if i want something i have to work to gte it myself. my responsiblities are greater and things arent as easy to get anymore.
My whole outlook on life now is different. As a five year old, the biggest problem that you face is if someone tells you that your imaginary friend isnt real. today, people are suffering from debt, sicknesses, and heartache. you start to learn the problems with the world such as economy and politics. Everything seems to be a big issue now a days.

Living Forever: A Curse or a Blessing?
Today my friends and I were talking and somehow the topic of living forever was brought up. We all had different opinions, and this was my stand on the topic:
I feel that living forever would be a curse. The main reason why i think this is because if you know you have forever you would not have a purpose in live. Like Aristole said, in order to loive a successful life you must haev a a drive or purpose. Without this how can you have any goals and ambitions that you want to achieve. It would also be a curse because you would be extremely lonely without your family and friends. Personally, i would not want to see all my friends and family suffer and die.
In a way death gives your life meaning becasue it sets limits on you. with limits people often strive to achieve that msot and do good throughout their everyday lives because they never know when theyre no longer going to be here. The though of death often scraes people so they try to make a differentce and do as many things as possible while theyre alive.

Friends
Since my favorite show of all time is Friends, last Christmas my sister got me the complete 10 session DVD set. This entire week i've had a sinus infection and swollen glands, so i've been home doing nothing but watching the whole set from the first dvd untill the last. The show is basically about 6 friends who live in the city and they hang out at this coffee shoppe called the Central Perk. The story line is based on love interest between eachother and outsiders, and the strong bond between the friends. For the most part the show is a comedy, with some dramatic points during the 10 seasons. As you watch the 10 seasons your able to see how they grow over time and how all their lives come together.
One of my favorite things to do after watching the show is watching the bloppers. Heres a clip from some of my favorite shows.

"Young Sherlock Holmes"
Today I saw the movie "Young Sherlock Holmes". I enjoyed this movie very much so I decided to write a blog about it.
A simple adventure film is made into much more in “Young Sherlock Holmes.” The special effects employed accentuate the escapist qualities that exist within the movie. The mystery begins when a few certain men are injected with a hallucinogen and they imagine inanimate objects coming alive and trying to kill them. Among other things, a man imagines his dinner attacking him and another sees a stained glass figure come alive and try to kill him. All of the men injected with the hallucinogen end up dead. This results from their reactions to the drug. Throughout the movie, not only are these men targeted and attacked with the drug, but so are the three main characters: Holmes, Watson and Elizabeth. All three experience delusions that are very real to them. The viewer can also see what the men are seeing.
What makes the film more fantastic is the scenery. It is set in London in the 19th century; the streets, shops, and buildings all have a Victorian quality to them. The clothing is also in a distinct Victorian fashion. All this makes it possible for the viewer to get lost within the world the film creates. The unrealistic plot line and implausibility of any real life situation do not detract from the film; it makes it more enjoyable.
“Young Sherlock Holmes” is an adventure movie, but also a fantasy. It is obviously unrealistic, but that is not what is most important. A movie thrives on flights of the imagination. It is not to be analyzed; else, it loses its appeal. It is likable, charming and engaging. It takes hold of the viewer’s attention and holds it by whimsical effects, scenery and dialogue.

Knicks
Yesterday I surprised Saverio with Knicks tickets. They were playing Pheonix at Madison Square Garden. He was so excited because his brother was originally supposed to get him the tickets and ended up not being able to. We had pretty good seats, but they were high up and far back. It turns at that one of my patients at my job is a security guard a the Garden, and he was able to move us to like 6th row back. Saverio was so excited and I was so happy to make him happy. We were about 4 yards behing the side line where the team was sitting. Although they ending up losing, he had such a great time and i was happy for him.
The Knicks started off the game hot and kept it close for three quarters. it seemed like every time Pheonix scored a point, the Knicks were right behind. At the start of the fourth quarter the score was 95-91 knicks. It seemed like the Knicks were going to upset the Suns for the first time in many years. As the fourth quarter went by, Pheonix went on a run scoring 12 points to the Knicks.
